In observance of Republic Act No. 11040, April 27 of every year is declared a special working public holiday nationwide in honor of the bravery and heroism of Datu Lapu-Lapu. ⚔️
In line with this, April 27 is likewise observed as a special non-working holiday in Lapu-Lapu City, officially recognized as Lapu-Lapu Day. 🎉
As we commemorate this significant day, everyone is encouraged to join the celebration at the Liberty Shrine, Brgy. Mactan on April 27 at 8:00 AM to witness the Kadaugan Sa Mactan Reenactment and reflect on the courage and legacy of our hero, whose leadership and valor continue to inspire unity and pride among Oponganons. 🇵🇭✨
