Barangay Calawisan, Lapu-Lapu City, led by Hon. Arselito Pejo, successfully conducted a Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) Training on February 7, 2025, at the Calawisan Barangay Hall. The session was attended by barangay councilors, tanods, staff, and members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa.
The training, facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Lapu-Lapu City, provided participants with expert guidance on KP practices, organizational structure, jurisdiction, procedural aspects, and documentation requirements. Interactive scenarios helped enhance the capacity of Lupon members to resolve disputes amicably at the barangay level.
The KP refresher course strengthens local dispute resolution skills, supports access to justice, and decongests court cases, ensuring equitable and effective service for the community.
